One of the greatest advantages of the NANOXO ZnO QDs and ZnO2 nanoparticles is their consistency and stability in a broad range of conditions. This is particularly important in biological applications in order to ensure the stability of ZnO as well as to avoid unintentional leaching of Zn ions into the biological medium, causing potential toxicity. Nanoxo ZnO QDsZnO QDs have been carefully analyzed for biocompatibility toward human cell lines, which indicated much lower cytotoxicity compared to the typical ZnO nanomaterials currently available.
